INTERVIEW AND PORTRAIT Michele Aboud
PHOTOGRAPHY ARCHIVE Liz Ham
With decades of experience behind the lens, LIZ HAM offers a rare and personal glimpse into the journey of a photographer through an ever-shifting landscape. Traversing the fields of both commerce and art, her work speaks to the power of image-making – not just as a profession, but as a means of storytelling, cultural reflection, and creative expression. Now living one of her current passions, that of inspiring future image-makers and artists, Liz delves into her past, present and future, sharing her unique perspective and insights into the creative process with fellow photographer and friend Michele Aboud.

Photography is more than just capturing a moment – it’s about telling stories, shaping perspectives, and pushing boundaries. It’s all about experiencing your life fully, creating your own power within your own space, and divining personal satisfaction in both your creative pursuits and life itself – following your instinct and soul in all that you do, to be sure that whatever path you choose to take, you’ll live it to your absolute best.

I think at the end of the day you just have to be true to yourself and honest with yourself about who you are – warts and all. Be kind, be gentle, but be strong – and most of all be you.
